Upcoming Projects 05/23/2009
It's going to be a big summer for Tommy Stone Productions! This week I am scheduled to begin filming a short documentary for Grammy Award winning songwriter Dan Wilson. Best known as the lead singer for the band Semisonics (his most notable hits were "Closing Time" and "Secret Smile") and as the songwriter behind many of the Dixie Chick's hits such as "Not Ready to Make Nice," I will be collaborating with Dan on at least three different music related projects. I am also currently planning a modeling video with Emmy Award winning model, actress and television host Kristen Aldridge, which I am very excited about. The concept is creative and will have a larger scale feel than some of my previous videos. I can't wait to get started; we should begin filming within the next few weeks. An ongoing project this summer, and one that really gets me amped, is shooting my first feature film. I just finished writing the script this week, which is an adaptation of an old film noir, femme fatale film in the public domain called Too Late for Tears. This film will star musician, model and actress - and business partner - Hannah Vonn. She and I have been collaborating on quite a few projects; be sure to watch for the launch of her website, Myspace page and YouTube Channel, coming this summer as we continue shooting additional modeling and music videos together. In addition to these projects, I am continuing to shoot behind-the-scenes footage for Twin Cities Statement Magazine, am shooting a few smaller modeling/acting videos, shooting a music video for a local band and am shooting and editing a 10-part training series on interpersonal communications for my dad. Finally, this weekend I am finishing the script and beginning shooting a personal documentary about raising a child - my son - with Down syndrome called "Following Ian." It is scheduled to be released in early July; watch for news of the launch of the website later this week. Add Comment |
